How the 8th CPC estimate works
- Fitment Factor: The 7th CPC used 2.57×. Analysts project the 8th CPC factor between 1.82× and 2.86×. This calculator lets you compare all scenarios.
- Revised Basic Pay: Estimated as (Current Basic + DA) × Fitment Factor. The actual formula may differ.
- HRA: City X = 20%, City Y = 12%, City Z = 8% of revised basic (current rates; 8th CPC may revise these).
- Transport Allowance: User-inputted. Current rates vary by pay level and city type.
- Deductions: NPS, CGHS, CGEGIS, Professional Tax, Income Tax and other deductions are user-configurable.
