Delhi to Jaipur is roughly 280 km one way. In a petrol car averaging 16 km/L at Delhi's ₹94.72/L: fuel needed = 280 ÷ 16 = 17.5 L, cost = 17.5 × 94.72 ≈ ₹1,658 one way (₹3,316 return). A diesel SUV at 14 km/L and ₹87.62/L costs about ₹1,752 one way — but carries more people and luggage. For a 900 km diesel run (a common Delhi–Udaipur trip): 900 ÷ 14 = 64.3 L × ₹87.62 ≈ ₹5,633.

How much does fuel cost per km in India?
