How the calculation works
This Nepali date difference calculator compares your selected Bikram Sambat (BS) dates and determines the calendar-based difference in years, months and days. Nepali months do not all have the same number of days — a BS month can have 29, 30, 31 or even 32 days depending on the year — so this calculator uses the actual BS calendar data (BS 2000–2090) instead of assuming 30-day months. That is also how your bank counts loan tenure in Nepal.
BS ↔ AD conversion: the same tested conversion engine converts both dates to Gregorian (AD), so the total-day count, the BS↔AD dates and the tenure breakdown always agree with each other.
